The bags are as strong as they are attractive and each will hold up to 30 lbs. Here's a bonus: Three of these great totes roll up to only 4" x 2" x 1"! These are GREAT! I was using large canvas bags at the grocery store, but these are much nicer -- I just stick one, two, or all three in my purse depending on how much I'm buying (it's SO nice how they roll up to a tiny size!). I've even started bringing them into clothing stores so I don't have a pile of shopping bags at home. I also love the three "New York Solids" colors!
